Progress on Goal1 Arabic cooking 31\5\2009
Progress made as at 31st May 2009
Approached mother to test on my grilling, tested on a piece of chicken, the chicken tasted fine but was a bit overburnt which means that i had to practice more on my timing to grill meatstuff.the good thing was everything tasted right, but only my application on grilling was wrong.I had to spread abit more margarine or oil on both the griller and the chicken as to make it nonstick and the colour brown.instead, i only spread abit of margarine on the surface of the griller which then makes it only concentrated to burn the outer layer of the chicken.
By this time i had also been able to cook an arabic main dish which is the rice, a type of bread, and 2 types of gravies which have covered more than 3 quarter of my aim supposed to be achieved by 1st june , which is to cook side 4dishes whereas i have only managed to come out with 3 which is the bread, the shakshukka and mousakka. The roasted chicken is yet to be improved. At the moment, the foodstuffs above mentioned are only for 1-2 servings only as i have only just learnt them but not able to multiply it for a feast. Just a bit more practice should make me fine to achieve the goal for 1st july.-31st july 2009.Sorry people that i posted late for the previous progress made.

Smart Goal 1-To achieve cooking an arabic dish for 20 people
Background of the arabic dishes.
These arabic dishes that im striving on mainly come from the Middle East, like countries such as Saudi Arabia, Yemen,Oman, United Arab Emirates and many more.I am working on 3 side dishes one main dish and a dessert.Themain dish is the 'Mindi rice'that originates from the bedouins of Saudi Arabia,a type of bread called "khoubes' which is mainly cooked by the yemenis in Yemen, gravies 'Shakshuka' and 'Musakka' which originates from Lebanon and egypt recpectively.Topping up is also a traditional ' grilled chicken middle eastern dish'.The sole dessert comes from The U.A.E which is named 'muhalabia'.Till then..
thanks for your attention
